I’ve been to Phuket a bunch of times lately, and there are some dishes there so good I just had to eat them more than once in a single trip. It’s so awesome, I just have to share this joy with you all!
Featured in this blog:
- Go Benz: ‘Khao Tom Haeng’ (dry boiled rice) and crispy pork
- Tu Kab Khao: Traditional Thai dishes
- Torry’s Ice Cream: Homemade ice cream with unique Thai flavors
- Rawai Seafood Market: Select fresh seafood on your own and have it cooked

Let’s jump into exploring some of Phuket’s yummiest spots together!
1. Go Benz (Michelin Guide)

The Go Benz porridge shop has been a bustling spot for more than 20 years, loved for its special pork rice porridge with a peppery broth, and yummy noodle soup. It’s clear why it’s so popular when dishes like crispy pork with soft insides and dry boiled rice fly off the shelves. Don’t miss out on the crispy pork dipped in sweet soy sauce – it’s deliciously seasoned and the grilled skin is a treat!
This restaurant gets really busy around 6pm, so from my own experience, showing up a bit earlier at 5:30pm can make a big difference.
What to order:
- Pork Rice Porridge (ข้าวต้มแห้ง) $2 (70 Baht)
- Crispy Pork (หมูกรอบ) $2.8 (100 Baht)
Opening Hours: 5.30pm – 1am

2. Tu Kab Khao Restaurant

“Tu Kab Khao” means “Cabinet of Delicacies”. The restaurant located in Old Town Phuket. It’s in a pretty building with a mix of Chinese and Portuguese design.
The restaurant also have live music every night from 7:00 to 8:00 PM and then again from 8:30 to 9:30 PM, so there’s always a fun vibe. It’s the perfect place to hang out, whether you’re from around here or just visiting, and no matter if you’re with just a few friends or in a big group. Come on by and see for yourself!

What to order:
- Crab Curry with white noodle (แกงปูใบชะพลู หมี่ขาว): $10 (360 Baht)
- Stir-fried Malindjo Leaves with Egg (ใบเหลียงผัดไข่): $3.5 (120 Baht)

3. Torry’s Ice Cream

Torry’s Ice Cream is a premium homemade ice cream shop in the heart of Rommanee Alley, located on Thalang Road in Phuket’s Old Town. This old building used to be an English pamphlet printing office called “Art and Culture,” which collected art stories from Phuket for over 10 years. The place stands out with its pink pastel Sino-Portuguese architecture, making you feel like you’re strolling through a beautiful blend of Eastern and Western culture.
This shop is so loved that they’re spreading out to a few blocks. It used to be tough finding a spot to sit in this cafe. Now, with the expansion, there might be more room for everyone to enjoy their visit.

What to order:
- Bi-Co-Moi, A butterfly pea coconut ice cream paired with the taste of ‘Biko Moy,’ a native Phuket black sticky rice dessert: $3 (95 Baht)
- My favorite ice-cream flavor is ‘Sweet Fish Sauce’. It might sounds weird but trust me it’s really good.
Opening Hours: 10am – 6pm (I wish they open until late)

4. Get Ho Dim Sum

It’s a cool spot with yummy, fresh steamed dim sum like kanom jeen, khao yam, and mee sua that everyone loves.
They have tons of choices in the cooler. Just grab a table, pick your favorites from the cooler, and take them to the counter. They’ll steam them right up for you. Just give them your table number, then sit back and relax while waiting for a delicious breakfast.
Fun fact: I found this place a very good option for breakfast. I went there after my morning run.
Opening Hours: 6am – 12pm

5. Rawai Seafood Market

The Rawai Seafood Market in Phuket is a famous spot buzzing with the excitement of finding fresh and tasty seafood.
It’s a must-visit for tourists looking for a vibrant seafood dining experience when in Phuket. Located at Rawai Beach, Mueang Phuket District, the street is lined with various seafood restaurants offering fresh squid, shrimp, clams, crabs, and fish in all sizes. Tourists can pick whatever they like to have it cooked at one of the nearby restaurants, which then charge a cooking fee.
Restaurants at Rawai Beach usually charge based on weight. The staff will weigh your fresh picks, and then you tell them what dishes you want and how many. For example, cooking half a kilogram of seafood into one dish might cost 75 Baht, one kilogram into one dish might be 100 Baht, or one kilogram into two dishes could be 150 Baht.
As a local, I still find visiting the Rawai Seafood Market a blast. It really feels like you’re diving into the heart and soul of the fishermen community and market.
